CHELYABINSK, RUSSIA (August 1, 2023) – Metran Group of Companies is pleased to announce the launch of its new electromagnetic flow meter Metran-370M on the market. The flow meter is represented by models with built-in conical adapters and with flanged, flangeless and sanitary couplings to operate at high pressure media, to measure pulp and slurry flows.
The standard range includes models with 3 to 1000 mm nominal diameter (DN), -20°C to +180°C measured medium temperature, and -50°C to +60°C ambient temperature. Standard and high-precision versions are available with ±0.5% and ±0.2% flow measurement relative error, respectively. Metran-370M flowmeter is certified for use at 1Ex db IIB T6 Gb X hazardous areas. 6 lining materials and 5 electrode materials are available for order allowing use with a wide variety of chemical compounds. The maximum process pressure is 42 MPa, and a version is also available for pipelines with risk of vacuum occurrence.
Electromagnetic flowmeter Metran-370M is available with various output signals: pulse-frequency, 4-20 mA current, as well as HART, Modbus, and Profibus digital protocols. This variability allows to easily integrate the flow meter into the enterprise existing SCADA system.
Transmitters are available in two versions: for standard field installation with remote placement on a pipe, and with bracket for convenient mounting on a cabinet wall.
All these features enable the use of Metran-370M flow meter for a wide range of flow measurement applications: from stable water flows in blast furnace cooling circuits or chemical reagent small flows to enormous water volumes at thermal power facilities or noisy flows of highly concentrated suspensions at mining and processing plants.
Optionally, an infrared remote control is available allowing to easily control the flow meter installed in hard-to-reach places or areas with gas explosion risk. The remote control is certified for use in hazardous areas.
